This is not meant to be the history of the Bertram 26, however more like the "how I became a Bertram owner".  I will include as many Bertram facts as find them.  

In December of 2002, I found this boat in a relatives possession awaiting restoration.   Prior to going into storage, both engines ran, but were worn.  The four years of garage storage had not helped them much.  The gel coat was oxidized but salvageable.  All electronics worked.  

Negotiations began for my stewardship of my first Bertram.
