There were four options that I considered for the repower. Each option had tradeoffs.
In the order of most expensive to least, they were: 1)
Twin MERC/Cummins 1.7 liter, 2) Twin 225HP four stroke
outboards. 3) Two RPMC Rotary engines. 4) Twin 4.3
liter GM's, 5) Single big block GM, and twin 3.0 liter
Mercruiser's. I literally spent
months researching before I decided the RPMC Rotary engines had
the best of all options. These two 210 HP monsters only
weigh 320 lbs each and promise acceptable fuel economy.
